A Vegan does not willingly use any animal products or animals themselves

Please do you research in future before publishing opinion

Your initial definition relates to vegetarianism, most who label themselves as vegetarain are however 'lacto-ova vegetarians'

Veganism is not merely dietary

I concur--but I like going and checking out "weird" new things like, "woods ear" mushrooms. I discovered Korean pears, baby coconuts, papaya (unfortunately, I like it canned with a ton of sugar), swiss chard, , herb salad, soba/tofu noodles, jicama, black potatoes, and broccoli slaw for vegan sushi (makes prep a breeze!) just by saying, Hmm..Sure, why not? :)

By the way, I'm linking here in "Aspiring Veganism" in a few minutes. *hugs* Happy Boxing Day!

you could call this recipe "pasta with hommus" (without the tahini) but your title sounds better. I'm inspired, but just discovered we're out of chickpeas. Here's a tomato based sauce to go with it (but it needs a better name!)

1/2 onion
1 cup vegies (ie mushroom and zuchini)
1/2 cup tvp
1 can tomatoes
2 tbs tomato paste
1 massel stock cube
mixed herbs
olive oil and lime juice

fry the onion, add the vegies, tvp and tomatoes, herbs, tomato paste and stock cube. cook for 10-15 mins, adding water as it absorbs, add the olive oil and lime toward the end. If you have nutritional yeast (yeast flakes) add them too. serve with freshly ground pepper and Ali's cheese sauce.

Thanks Raam. I've been liking fruit smoothies recently. Frozen banana works well too. Interested to see how peanut butter fits into it though! Promise it's nice?

Hummus is a longstanding favourite too.
